NEW HAMPSHIRE DEPARTMENT AUXILIARIES
The Department of New Hampshire was chartered on August 20, 1908 with eight Auxiliaries: Bennington No. 1, Nashua No. 2, Troy No. 3, Hopkinton No. 8, Plymouth No. 9, Keene No. 11 and Hinsdale No. 12.
Blanche Beverstock, a member of Keene Auxiliary No. 11, was the National President in 1921, and the first New Hampshire member to rise to the office of National President. Other National Presidents from New Hampshire were Emma Wheeler, of Hillsborough Auxiliary No. 7, elected in 1964, her daughter, Jacquelyn Johnston, of Milford Auxiliary No. 38, elected in 1997, and Cynthia Brown, a Massachusetts Auxiliary member, currently a dual member of Auxiliary Nos. 5 and 60 in New Hampshire.
